Rev. Ryan Underwood discussed his doctoral studies and dissertation on Bishop Stephen Elliot (1806-1866). Bishop Elliot of Georgia had an excellent education and was schooled as a lawyer. He was schooled in the sciences, literature, Greek and Latin. The Bishop was converted under the preaching of a Presbyterian minister (in an Episcopal Church). Imagine that! A Presbyterian Gospel message in an Episcopal Church. Eleven men were converted at the same meeting as the power of God moved in the preaching of the Word. This really was just a beginning of the exploration of Bishop Elliot, consecrated by Bishop Meade of Virginia, another Evangelical Episcopalian. We plan to explore this further. Although very young and being a native genius, Rev. Underwood will bring the blessings of these academic studies to other nations with Frontline Fellowship. He speaks calmly, freely and sincerely as he has done in all previous videos. He is unabashedly Reformed, Calvinistic, Evangelical and a Prayer Book Churchman. As such, he stands in the doctrinal lineage, heritage and succession of the Evangelical Episcopalian ministry. The triumph of Christ Victorious exercising his Sword and Spirit in evangelism. True then. True now.
