At the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show, BYD Ocean Network's new pure electric mid-size sedan Seal 06GT was officially unveiled, and the blind order price is 150,000 yuan. The new car is built on BYD's e-platform 3.0 Evo and adopts a new marine aesthetic design language. It is available in single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive versions.
In terms of appearance, the Seal 06GT was created by the design team led by BYD's global style director Wolfgang Egger. The overall appearance is developed based on the OCEAN-M concept car. The taillights and the groups have been updated with simple but highly recognizable designs inspired by marine elements.
The smooth roofline on the side conveys a clear and clear body acceleration, bringing a strong visual transition effect, making the whole vehicle have a slim proportion and low posture, adding a new visual pleasure to the marine aesthetic. It looks like a high design that suits the aesthetics of contemporary youth. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of Seal 06GT are 4630/1880/1490mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2820mm.
In terms of interior, it adopts a simple design style, equipped with a large-size full LCD display + adaptive rotary suspension Pad combination, and is equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a crystal material shift mechanism.
In terms of smart cockpit, it is equipped with DiLink 100, a high-end version of smart cockpit, using a 6nm cockpit chip with 136K DMIPS CPU computing power, optimizing the visual and interactive experience with a more modern experience.
It is also equipped with full-scene intelligent voice to support semantic association and full-scene continuous dialogue. You can speak when it appears and interrupt at any time, and it also supports dynamic wallpaper and dual desktop. 3D vehicle control allows 3D display of vehicle status and can control lights, doors, windows and other operations 360°.
In terms of intelligent driving, it is equipped with DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, equipped with 21 intelligent driving sensors and provides L2-level assisted driving functions. It has many functions such as ACC adaptive cruise control, ICC lane pilot, ILCA lever, lane change function, APA automatic parking and other functions, as well as more than 15 active intelligent safety protection functions such as AEB automatic emergency braking, ELKA approach avoidance and BSD blind spot monitoring.
In terms of configuration, it will be equipped with 11 airbags and equipped with luxury configurations such as front seat ventilation/heating, 12-speaker Dynaudio audio system and 12-inch W-HUD head.
In terms of power, the Seal 06GT is built on the e-platform 3.0 Evo and will provide two motor layouts: single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive. The maximum power of the single-motor rear-wheel drive model is 160 kilowatts, the front motor of the dual-motor four-wheel drive model has a maximum power of 110 kilowatts, and the rear motor has a maximum power of 200 kilowatts. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers in 4.6 seconds.
In terms of battery life, the new car will be equipped with two battery packs with capacities of 59.52 kWh and 72.96 kWh. The corresponding cruising range under CLTC operating conditions is 505 kilometers, 605 kilometers and 550 kilometers (four-wheel drive). The new car is also equipped with BYD's world's first intelligent upstream fast charging technology, which can separate the charging current from the vehicle current and support a maximum charging power of 180 kilowatts. It is also equipped with intelligent pulse. Self-heating technology, which increases the temperature rise rate of the power battery by 230%, significantly shortens the charging time by 40% in extremely low temperature environments.
