It’s ideal for Anglers. Great for repairing or joining fishing lines, trolling lines, or even steel wire used in fencing.
It binds up so securely that you can trim the tails flush with the knot without fear of it unraveling.
So you can see the shape of it with its tails trimmed… and that’s how it got its name.
