The API lifecycle begins with the planning, creation, and implementation of APIs by developers and other API creators within the company. These APIs are then consumed by employees, partners, or users of the company’s products and services.

In SAP Integration Suite, API Management enables the discovery, design, composition, integration, management, and security of APIs across the entire landscape. APIs are published in a catalog (developer portal) and made available for developers to build multi-experience applications.
