In this video, I cover 6 takeaways that I made from my first 100 days as a product designer.
1. Product discovery should be handled by three parties: Product Manager, Product Designer, and a Developer lead.
2. When handing off your work, make sure to use an inspect tool like InVision so your developer team can inspect your designs and pull assets.
3. Sprint planning may be ran more through the lens of the developer team.
4. Do the best you can to design proactively rather than reactively.
5. When possible, try to give people three options to choose from.
6. It’s important to recognize the differences between teams you work with.
I have a FREE slack group for product designers looking to work on projects together and network. If you're interested in joining, you can sign up here: http://bit.ly/bcslack
