To post an Instagram story from your computer, you can follow these steps:
1. Open your web browser and go to instagram.com.
2. Sign in to the Instagram account from which you want to post the story.
3. Right-click on the background of the website.
4. In the pop-up menu, select "Inspect."
5. Click on the mobile device icon at the top of the inspector menu.
6. Click on "Dimensions," then select the device type you'd like to view Instagram.
7. Refresh your browser window.
8. Once refreshed, you should have the option to add to your story. Click on "Your Story."
9. Upload an image you want to post on your Instagram story.
10. Note that the editing options are limited compared to the mobile app. You can add text, stickers, or draw on your image, but you cannot add music or links using this workaround.
11. When you're done creating your story post, click "Add to Your Story" at the bottom.
12. Your post will then be published to your Instagram story.
13. To exit the inspector view and return to the regular Instagram desktop site, click on "Dimensions" and select "Responsive."
14. Click the mobile device icon again to turn off this view.
15. Click the "X" in the top right corner of the inspector menu to close it.
16. Refresh your browser window to return to the regular view.
17. You can watch the story you posted by clicking your profile icon.
That's it! You've successfully posted an Instagram story from the desktop site using this workaround. If you found this video helpful, consider liking and subscribing to the channel for more tech tutorials.
