How to Message Yourself in Slack
1. *Locate Yourself in Direct Messages*
Look at the left sidebar under *Direct Messages* for your name. It should display as "You" alongside your name.
If you see your name here, just click it to start messaging yourself.
2. *If You Don’t See Yourself Listed*
Click the *New Message* icon (usually a plus sign next to Direct Messages).
In the search bar, type your name. Slack should suggest your profile under "People."
Select your name from the list.
3. *Send a Message to Yourself*
In the new message window that appears, type a message and hit **Send**.
This will open a dedicated chat where you can send notes, reminders, or files to yourself whenever you need.
