Auferstanden Aus Ruinen - Risen from Ruins (Instrumental)
"Auferstanden Aus Ruinen" was written in 1949 by Johannes Robert Becher and Hanns Eisler to serve as the national anthem of the German Democratic Republic (GDR). The lyrics reflect the nation's early history and their hopes for the future, however as lines with the Socialist Unity Party (SED) changed regarding the GDR's future and reunification, lyrics were changed to remove reference to reunification.
