"The Anthem of the Comintern", is an international revolutionary song of German origin, written in 1928 for the 6th World Congress of the Communist International. In 1930, Hans Eisler performed it in Russia where it then received an official Russian translation and spread across the world, in many languages, as the anthem of the Communist International. The lyrics urge the proletarians of the world to unite together in the spirit of international communism and to destroy the bourgeois world and establish the international Soviet.
