I show you how to create a mask in the UV/Image editor. I then show you how to move the mask around during playback so that it covers the subject's face creating a moving, face blur effect. I also introduce you to the Gaussian blur effect strip.

1:08 - switch to Mask Mode to create new mask

1:42 - load reference video

2:16 - Set Properties: "Match movie Length" and "Auto Refresh"

3:00 - start drawing your mask

4:00 - Turn on "Auto Keyframe Insert"

4:50 - go frame by frame with Arrow Keys and move mask

6:20 - lets watch the mask move

6:54 - Let's get our mask in the video

7:17 - Add Adjustment layer

7:47 - Add strip modifier: Mask

8:30 - create Gaussian Blur strip from Adjustment strip

9:20 - Set the Blur X/Y values
