ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr Katia Papastavrou earned her medical degree in 2000 from the University of Athens, and in 2006, she completed her specialization in Ophthalmology. Following her specialization, she pursued a fellowship in glaucoma at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Center in the UK.
Currently, Dr Papastavrou serves as a consultant at the Pantheo Eye Center, focusing predominantly on treating patients with glaucoma.
Since 2012, she has been imparting her knowledge as a lecturer at the University of Nicosia Medical School. Additionally, Dr Papastavrou is a co-founder of the Pantheo Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to advancing medical education in developing nations.
