Today we want to investigate the stability of Poiseuille flow in the presence of disturbances in the form of traveling waves.
If we add small amplitude disturbances the laminar domain, will the flow become turbulent, or the waves die out?
We solve the 4th order Orr-Sommerfeld equation using spectral method with Chebyshev differentiation matrices.
