Smaller and more agile than the full-size Range Rover, the 2025 Range Rover Sport SUV sits at the heart of the Land Rover lineup, offering both solid on- and off-road capability. Three available powertrains let you order the Sport that best suits your driving style and lifestyle. The base P360 inline-six produces 355 horsepower, while the P400 inline-six bumps that number to 395; a plug-in hybrid variant called the P550e produces 542 horsepower and offers an estimated 51 miles of electric-only range. An adjustable air spring suspension system provides extra ground clearance when you need it and lowers the SUV to the ground when you don’t, improving aerodynamics, handling and off-road capability. Equipped with the optional Stormer Handling package, the Range Rover Sport becomes a true performer with rear-wheel steering and a torque-vectoring rear differential. But if it’s maximum performance you’re after, consider the one with the 626-horsepower twin-turbo V-8.

The Range Rover Sport gains a new Stealth appearance package for 2025, its eighth year of production. Available only on the P400 Dynamic SE trim, this trim adds Carpathian Gray metallic paint wrapped in a satin-finish clear coat and replaces the standard high-gloss exterior trim with gloss black accents. The package’s brake calipers and 23-inch wheels are also painted black. Inside, the Stealth package adds an air cleaner and is available with Ebony or Light Cloud leather upholstery.

The base engine is a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that uses a 48-volt hybrid system and produces 355 horsepower in the P360 SE; the same engine is tuned to deliver 395 horsepower in the P400 SE Dynamic.

The P550e plug-in hybrid model carries a battery large enough for 51 miles of electric driving per charge, according to Land Rover.

The P360 and P400 models will get 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway, according to Land Rover.

The Range Rover Sport’s interior is an exercise in minimalism, with few physical buttons and switches and a streamlined look throughout the cabin. Buyers can choose between textile or genuine leather upholstery in attractive two-tone designs. Dark chrome accents look particularly premium. Power-adjustable front seats are standard, but a set of chairs with up to 22 ways of adjustment and massaging and ventilation are optional. An integrated air-purification system is available and is said to reduce odors, bacteria, viruses and allergens from the cabin.

The Range Rover Sport’s dashboard offers plenty of digital real estate, with a large 13.1-inch curved touchscreen handling infotainment duties and an even larger 13.7-inch screen parked in front of the driver to display gauges. The screens are crisp and vibrant, and look premium when floating above the Range Rover Sport’s upholstered dashboard. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity is standard, and all Range Rover Sports come with Amazon’s Alexa. A wireless smartphone charging pad is also cleverly integrated into a shelf just below the infotainment screen. A 29-speaker Meridian stereo system is optional, adding speakers to the front and rear headrests of the Range Rover Sport.
