Passat Pro is leading the Chengdu Auto Show's blockbuster new car previews.
At the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show, SAIC Volkswagen's new sedan product Passat Pro was introduced.
The car is 5 meters long and equipped with DJI Smart Driving.
The relationship between Passat Pro and Passat may also refer to the Tiguan L and Tiguan L Pro, which are likely to be sold under the same roof in the future.
In terms of design, there are two design styles for the front of the Passat Pro: One is more formal, with a larger lower grille area, and a thin grille is used on the upper part, passing between the headlights on both sides. Another R-Line version adopts a blacked-out style, the lower grille adopts a honeycomb design, and there are imitation air outlet designs on both sides, making it look more sporty. The front faces of both versions are equipped with sharp matrix LED headlights. Regardless of the front face, the new car looks much younger than the current Passat.
The Passat Pro is over 5 meters long, with a specific length, width and height of 5006/1850/1489 mm, and a wheelbase of 2871 mm. The waistline on the side of the body continues the slender feeling of the current model. Since the body is longer, the rear waistline design of the sloping roof will be more prominent, and there will be a new sports wheel hub.
There are many changes to the tail. First, the tail lights have been made thinner throughout, and the internal LED light groups have been rearranged. Second, the lower bumper has a reflective strip throughout, and it is also equipped with a decorative mesh panel that can expand the entire body width.
The interior layout of the Passat Pro is similar to the Tiguan L PRO, with improved intelligent performance. In terms of equipment, there is a large-sized central control screen on the center console. There is a large LCD instrument panel on the left, and a new passenger entertainment screen on the right. The 8155 chip, which increases operational fluidity and user friendliness, has improved the performance of computer interaction. At the same time, it is expected to cooperate with DJI Automotive to improve the intelligent driving performance of the Passat PRO, referring to the Tiguan L Pro.
There is also information that the Passat Pro will launch the EXECUTIVE model with a 4-seat layout and an extremely wide rear space. The Passat PRO offers 1.5T and 2.0T high-power motors with a maximum power of 118kW and 162kW.
