AutoCAD How to Reset Xref Layer Properties with VISRETAIN Command
You have to update the color of the xref layer in your master file. Here is a simple and easy tutorial to Reset Xref Layer Properties in AutoCAD by using the VISRETAIN command.
Enter the VISRETAIN command and set it to 0.
Reload the xref drawing. You will see all the layer properties like color, linetype, lifestyle, and line weight of reference files have been updated as per their original base drawing.
