2023 Ribbon of Strength
The community donated more than $12,000 to Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation's Ribbon of Strength campaign in the spring of 2023. Those gifts will be used to help patients being treated for cancer at Alton Memorial Hospital and who are experiencing financial challenges; helping pay for mortgages, rent, utility bills, car repairs and gas. To show the patients their community supports them, donors personalized small ribbons to memorialize someone who lost the fight to cancer, celebrate those who won the battle and send encouraging messages to patients to keep fighting. Those small ribbons were displayed in the form of a giant ribbon at Rolling Hills Golf Club in Godfrey, Illinois.
