Based on scientific studies, Vonoprazan was recently approved by the FDA. Mainly, it was found to be effective in helping symptoms of Erosive Esophagitis, but is thought to potentially help patients who suffer from GERD, and aid in the treatment of H. pylori.

So lets explore the new drug Vonoprazan - how does it work, how is it different from a PPI, is it better than a PPI, what are its side effects, what conditions is it thought to help treat, which patients may it provide more help for, and is it safe?
