In advance of possible comments: no, this song has nothing to do with Russian special forces, the war in the Caucasus and workers of unnamed PMCs. I don't know why you kids are looking for other meanings here (Actually, I do know, but I couldn't care less. Go cry for ukraine somewhere else, soy mf), but this song was written by Soviet military specialists in Vietnam and is sung on behalf of an American soldier. Jungle and green beret doesn't ring any bells, does it? You're gonna say, “Comrade, what does Chicago have to do with Vietnam?" Well, this is a reference to anti-war protests and clashes with police in Chicago in August 1968.
