How did they get CGI onto film strips?

Here's a trailer for my deep-dive video on Film Recorders. In that video, I start by asking three questions:

How did they get TV images onto Film?
How did they overcome TV's tiny resolution?
How were the computers able to produce such images in the 1970s?

And then I go through the history involved where I attempt to explain the challenges, introduce the people and try to put everything in contect.
