There is a significant difference between weight loss and fat loss. In order to lose fat, you need to be in a true caloric deficit. It is almost impossible for you to gain 10, 5, or even 3 lbs of fat after a normal weekend with your friends. It is just likely that your body has held onto a little bit a water. Once you get back to your normal routine, the water weight will come back off. Don't have to do anything extra, do not have to further restrict or do more cardio.

Hope this knowledge helps you feel a little less anxious about that number on the scale. Because ultimately, we want to develop habits that lead to a happier and healthier lifestyle.
