Flight 93 Hero Flag unfurled at State Capitol remembrance memorial for final time
The Flight 93 Hero Flag was unfurled Tuesday, Sept. 10 in the State Capital Rotunda. Those who attended the ceremony witnessed a rare moment as the Hero Flag is hardly ever unfurled.
The ceremony was in honor of the 40 passengers and crew members on United Airlines Flight 93 when terrorists hijacked the plane on Sept. 11, 2001. This marks the 23rd-anniversary remembrance of the actions of the Flight 93 heroes who died that day.
