A suspect in the Solingen stabbing, thought to be a member of the Islamic State group, has been brought to the German federal prosecutor's office in Karlsruhe.

The attack took place late on Friday at a festival celebrating the city's 650th anniversary. Three people were killed. In a ceremony commemorating the victims of the attack, the German MP Ingo Schäfer said the city would not be divided by the attack
