This documentation takes us from the oath-taking and inauguration ceremony at the Cebu Provincial Capitol, where Supreme Court Chief Justice Hilario G. Davide, Jr. sworn in Her Excellency President Maria Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and His Excellency Vice President Manuel L. de Castro, Jr.
Afterwards, they proceeded to Shangri-La Mactan Island Resort Hotel for the vin d'honneur, where the members of the diplomatic corps, VIPS and other special guests raised their glasses to toast with the Excellencies.
A concelebrated thanksgiving mass was held in late afternoon at the Metropolitan Cathedral. This was officiated by His Eminence Archbishop Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal.
A post-inaugural celebration took place on 1 July 2004 at the Fr. Urios College Gymnasium in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. Then the President's delegation proceeded to the Provincial Capitol of Maasin City, Southern Leyte for the 44th founding anniversary of the province.
On 2 July 2004, the First Cabinet Meeting was held at Clark Development Corporation in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Thus, the entire inauguration took place in three different places representing the entire Philippines from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
