In this chapter, we are going to design 3D printable Hinges for the arms of the Robot. I wanted to have the arms flexible & movable instead of being statically connected to the body. So designing live hinges that print in place were just perfect approach to use for the arms.

Hinges are used extensively in the industrial & mechanical manufacturing workflow for pretty much every design. The cool thing is , that hinges are super easy to design in Autodesk Fusion360 & only takes a couple of Circular sketches, Arc tool & the Line tool.Once the arms are ready, we will then work our way to designing the legs of the model. The legs wont be movable like the arms , but will instead be attached to the bottom portion of the model in 90 degrees facing up, so they print without supports. We will design a shoe like base for the legs & will make sure to keep the angles under 45 degrees, as that is what will make them print with zero supports.Follow along with the Tutorial video & you wont have any issues designing the Hinges or the legs.
