Understanding of Juniper Basic CLI*JNCIA* Class 03
CLI is Two Modes
1. Operational Mode which we know because of the greater than symbol at the end of the prompt.
2. Configuration Mode which we know because of the # symbols
Operational Mode: Where you can do troubleshooting it's where verify the device configuration and so on in short you don't make any changes in operational mode.
Configuration Mode: Whereas a name suggests you configure your router setting.
There is two kind of statement
1. Container statement which is indicated by {
2. Leaf Statement which is indicated by ;
Container Statement :
Any statement is to use to group other statements together is called container statement.
Leaf Statement:
Any statement that does not group other statements together is called a leaf statement contain the actual configuration information like IP address or a router.
######CLI Commands:
#show configuration interfaces (in this context you can see the interfaces)
#show system uptime (it will tell you when the router is booted and how long being up for)
#show interfaces terse (it will show the interface brief)
