Professor Cammenga and I made a beginning on discussing the Protestant Reformed Church and the Protestant Reformed Theological Seminary. This denomination began c. 1924-1925, but we hope for more clarification. The centennial is forthcoming. We had initial techno-difficulties but survived. Various topics: history of the church, the seminary, the covenant of grace (WLC 31), the free offer, Klaas Schilder and the Canadian Reformed, and other matters. We got onto Federal Vision and the definition of the covenant of grace, a covenant made with Christ and His elect seed (WLC 31). We also had a student at PRTS join us and help us while yours truly filibustered...until the techno-difficulties were fixed. What a joy to talk to the seminarian and also this goodly and godly Professor. The Professor has agreed to return to discuss common grace and the free offer from Scriptures and the Confessions. We hope this gets very wide publicity. This denomination, its seminary and church schools are abiding witnesses to His Majesty's fidelity to His elect sheep. Alleluia!
"O Almighty God, look mercifully upon the world of nations and the elect redeemed by the blood of thy dear Son; and, by thy Omnipotent Holy Spirit, incline the hearts of many to dedicate themselves the the sacred Ministry of Thy Word and sacraments in the Church; through the same Thy Son Jesus Christ our LORD. Amen."
