The world of Dwarf Fortress is a hostile one, with dangers lurking around every corner. Forgotten Beasts, Were-Creatures,Goblin Raids... heck even a falling tree can cause terrible injuries to your dwarves. That is why having a fully functional hospital in your fort is very important so your dwarves can have a 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) lease on life. Today I will show you how to set one up from scratch and fill it with all the medical essentials to cover every type of injury your dwarves might suffer.

Carpenter’s Workshop
Mechanic Workshop
Wood Furnace
Kitchen
Butcher
Metalsmith’s Forge
Stoneworker’s Workshop
Ashery
Loom
Clothing Workshop
Kiln (if Gypsum is available)
Soap Maker’s Workshop

Items Needed:

6 Mechanisms
6 Chains
10 Buckets
1 Barrel
10 Blocks
10 Beds
10 Tables
4 Chests
10 Bags
10 Thread
10 Cloth
5 Crutches
5 Splints (if no Gypsum)
5 Bags of Gypsum (if available)
5 Traction Benches
5 Ash (From Wood)
5 Lye (From Ash)
