A quick guide explaining the problem and how to fix it.
This (very) short tutorial addresses the plug in verification issue you might have seen when you open After Effects or when you open a new composition.
After Effects error: Rendering plug-in Verification Failed ( 26 :: 400 ) is a terrifying message and it seems like there’s no obvious solution and you can’t use AE. But… it’s not that bad or that serious.
It’s all to do with the comp’s renderer, switch the comp setting’s 3D Renderer to Classic 3D and problem solved. Maxon’s Cinema4D renderer cannot verify it is legitimate and so blocks AE from using it.
