The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment, also known as Issue 6, was on the November 8, 2016 ballot in Arkansas as an initiated constitutional amendment that was approved by the voters with 53.11% of the vote. The amendment will allow doctors to recommend the drug for patients suffering from specific medical conditions. May 8, 2017 is the deadline for state agencies to publish marijuana regulations.
