How to Delete, Deactivate, or Close your Pinterest Account
Pinterest settings give two options to handle deactivating and closing. Pinners can either temporarily hide their account plus all of their Pins and boards while retaining their Pinterest username. This is called deactivating and is a quick feature that can be turned on and off at the users’ choosing. Deactivating an account is useful for when users wish to take a break from Pinterest. It is possible to use this option for when you are just setting up a new account and it is not ready for public view. Pinterest Pinners could also set some or all of their boards to secret if you need to only hide your boards and not your entire account.
