YouTube's recommendation system finds videos for viewers rather than viewers for videos. Videos don't get pushed out or promoted by the algorithm, but are pulled for each viewer when they visit YouTube.

The goal of YouTube's search and discovery system is to match each viewer with the video that they're most likely to watch. This means every viewer will see different recommendations based upon personalization and performance.

Personalization signals include what they choose to watch, what videos they ignore, what videos they dismiss, and how often somebody watches a channel or, uh, topic.

Video performance is determined on how well the content engage the viewers.

So instead of worrying about the algorithm, focus on what your audience likes the most.
