F1’s return to the African continent has been a long time coming. The last time the world's premier motorsport category graced Africa was in 1993 in South Africa but a return is becoming a question of when, rather than if. South Africa remains the most likely host for an African Grand Prix but it is far from the only nation bidding for a place on the F1 calendar. There has been a huge development in the South African bid with tracks revealed and a date for the first race set and today, I’ll check it all out, so don’t go anywhere.
