Stronghold Crusader HD Extreme Trail M20 - Ultimate Victory
The last mission of the extreme trail and I'm finally done with this game - thank goodness. Overall it is an enjoyable ride, especially with all of the glitches and tricks we have learned and used thus far.
This mission isn't too hard if you rush early. I find it counter intuitive to just defend at this point as you will get overwhelmed easily by the enemy's infinite barracks and infinite mercenary posts.
I rushed the south eastern enemy with lord and assassins followed by the south western one. In particular, the south western AI gates up very slow, so by the time you've killed the enemy lord to the south west, he still has holes in his wall and you can easily rush him.
As you are rushing, build at least 1 defensive tower and your barracks because you want to be pumping crossbow men for defense. Have at least 45 of them and split them between your keep and tower, spend some of the gold for archers as well to deal with the fire starters. I wouldn't advise using a fire thrower near your buildings as they can be set aflame by accident.
Note: Enemy lords when killed only give 500 gold to you. Very small amount, but better than nothing. Use it to buy more archers or crossbow man.
Once both lords are down, focus on defense. Mass crossbow men on top of your keep and towers will help. Then from here it is a slow crawl. Gather wheat and sell the excess for gold and just rock storm the infinite enemy camps. Once all infinite enemy camps are cleared, take out Richard to the north west and saladin to your north east.
