Exploring Historical Landmarks in Cebu During Fiesta Señor 🇵🇭
Today’s in my latest Philippines travel vlog, I'm joined by Mads as we explore some of Cebu's most historic landmarks during the vibrant Fiesta Señor celebration.

Fiesta Señor is a grand celebration held in Cebu City every year in honor of the Santo Niño, the child Jesus. The festival is a week-long celebration that includes religious processions, street parties, and cultural performances.
Our first stop is the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. It is home to the revered image of the Santo Niño, which is said to have been brought to Cebu by Magellan in 1521.
During Fiesta Señor, the basilica is buzzing with activity as devotees flock to pay their respects to the Santo Niño.
Next, we head to Magellan's Cross, a towering wooden cross that marks the spot where Magellan planted the Christian cross in 1521. The cross is a popular pilgrimage site for both locals and tourists.
As we explore these historic landmarks, we learn about Cebu's rich history and culture. We also witness the deep faith and devotion of the Cebuano people.
Fiesta Señor is a truly special time to be in Cebu. The city is alive with color, music, and celebration. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience the best of Cebuano culture.
