A "Robot Tax" to Fund Social Welfare? Solving for 100% of Jobs Gone
An increasing concern of mine as we head into the AGI age, is the concentration of totalitarian power in the wrong hands. A world with AGI, run by corrupt world leaders, could be a very dark dystopia indeed.
While my P(Doom) is still pretty low, and my optimism for the new age of abundance high, we NEED to be talking about this more.
And I know that quite a few of you share my concerns.

As automation and artificial intelligence advance, the possibility of machines performing ALL jobs is a near and very real scenario.
This presents both a challenge and an opportunity: how can society ensure economic stability and equitable wealth distribution, when human labor is no longer the primary driver of the economy?
In this video, I talk about decentralizing Universal Basic Income (UBI) by funding it through a Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF), that collects and redistributes profits from automated industries.
We need to think about how to provide financial security for all citizens while harnessing the wealth generated by automation.
