If you run a WordPress website, you may have considered limiting access to specific categories on your site.
For example, you might want to create a private section of your blog with content that only specific people can access, or a password-protected portfolio.
While WordPress does allow you to add a password to individual posts, it's not possible to restrict access to a category or group of posts, or grant password-free access to certain users, such as administrators.
The plugin features 3 types of protection:
1. Password Protected categories let you set one or more passwords which can be used to unlock the category, its subcategories and contents.
2. Role Protected WordPress categories are only visible to logged in users with the correct role.
3. User Protected WordPress categories are only visible to specific user accounts. They're perfect for creating a hidden WordPress client portal.
It seamlessly works with WordPress pages, posts and literally any custom post type - whether it’s a post type you created yourself, or one created by any other plugin such as an events or ecommerce plugin.
You can also choose whether to show or hide your protected content in the public parts of your website.
