On July 24, 2022, there was a weather event -- a lightning strike between Hurdman and Lees -- that caused O-Train LRT Line 1 to not operate between Tremblay Station and Tunney's Pasture (but service did operate between Blair and Tremblay).

On July 26, 2022, O-Train LRT Line 1 was partially restored between Rideau and Tunney's Pasture. The partial restoration of service required OC Transpo to operate a shared single-track operation between Rideau and east of Lyon Station. As a result, switching operation was required between Parliament and Lyon Station.

Details of the switching operation:
Westbound trains were required to operate the "wrong way" on the eastbound tracks (Track 2) and then utilize the crossover switch between Parliament and Lyon Station to get the westbound trains from the eastbound tracks to the westbound tracks (Track 1).
Eastbound trains arriving at Lyon must wait until the westbound train has arrived Lyon before continuing east towards Parliament and Rideau Station due to the single tracking operation.
This continued until July 29, 2022 at 2pm.

It is rare to see this switching action occur. So here is a video of the switch action taking place for westbound trains from the eastbound tracks (Track 2) to the westbound tracks (Track 1) between Parliament and Lyon.
