JonCarlo's Story: How the Family Resource Center Supports Families
After JonCarlo was diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy, a serious heart condition, he learned he needed a heart transplant. He was placed on the transplant list Children's Hospital Colorado where he lived for the next six months.
His family relocated from New Mexico to Colorado to be close to him during his medical care. Being so far from their home wasn't easy. Luckily, his family found the Family Resource Center, a space at Children's Colorado where families can go for support and a reprieve while their child is in the hospital.
