Learn from a Master in your OWN Style
Enjoy this in-depth 45 min tutorial of me painting a Richard Schmid study. With commentary throughout, this demo will take you through a clear process on how I tackle a loose master study from start to finish when painting from a photo. I go over how I start off with a simple sketch, block in the basic colors of the painting, and work from general shapes too honing into more detail. In this study, I am really trying to capture the gesture of the landscape through broad confident brushstrokes.
