What if East and West Germany never unite? | Alternate History
In this alternate history scenario East and West Germany never unite. This happens largely thanks to the efforts of a single man, Kurt Hager. Through a coup against Erich Honecker he gains power in East Germany and keeps a strict anti western policy. East Germany becomes more isolated and radical while the Eastern Bloc collapses and Kurt Hagers regime begins to resemble that of North Korea.
How will the western world react to a surviving East Germany? How will Kurt Hager deter the west from toppeling him from power? Could East Germany manage to build nuclear weapos?
I hope you enjoy this scenario I made. Don't take it too seriously, since it's mainly made for entertainment purposes. I based to story on real people, that existed in real life but it's pure speculation if they would've acted the way they did in my scenario.
