The News is lying to you about how bad it realy is! How bad is the quality control at Boeing? For THE REAL D.O.P.E., subscribe to the TiborasaurusRex Patreon page! / tiborasaurusrex .
Are the numbers of NTSB incidents on commerical airliners going up or down in 2024? Facts suggest the News reporting of such incidents is all that has gone up. In reality the rate of serious runway incursions in the first quarter decreased by 59% from the same period in 2023, a historically high year for such events. The current rate for 2024 is below the annual average of 0.31 per 1 million aircraft operations over the last decade. A few cherry-picked data points are woefully insufficient to make sweeping generalizations, thus this author reviewed a total of 251 accidents and 808 reported incidents involving business jets that occurred during a 12-year period. Of these, 82 accidents and 414 incidents involved a mechanical failure.
Question: What about all those disgruntled Boeing employees dying. Answer: Boeing has 171,000 employess as of 2023. Do the math. Remember, the NEWS decides who is designated as 'whistblowers'.
"Are more planes having incidents than ever before? Or are we just hearing about more incidents?
It’s mostly the latter. Minor aviation incidents with few or no injuries — like those listed above — happen constantly. They just don’t make the news. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which investigates aviation incidents and accidents, lists 12 incidents on commercial aircraft in the United States so far this year. Last year, during the same time period, there were 13 such incidents.
From 2010 to 2023, there were on average 36 incidents a year. We’re about a third of the way through the year, so we’re having a more or less totally mundane year, as far as the rate of incidents serious enough to warrant an NTSB investigation goes." ~ FUTURE PERFECT | Are there really more things going wrong on airplanes? | Noticing more problems with Boeing planes doesn’t mean there are actually more problems with aviation safety | by Kelsey Piper | Apr 19, 2024 at 8:00 AM CDT
