In this video I show you how to install the Gluqlo Screensaver in your Linux distro. Hope you enjoy!
Show Notes:
DO NOT INSTALL WITH GLOSSY MONITOR!!!!!
TEST ON YOUR MONITOR BEFORE USING!!!
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Ubuntu/Debian Install:
1. sudo apt-get install build-essential libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-ttf2.0-dev libsdl-gfx1.2-dev libx11-dev
2.Install xscreensaver : sudo apt install xscreensaver xscreensaver-data-extra xscreensaver-gl-extra
3. Download Gluqlo: https://github.com/alexanderk23/gluqlo
4. Extract gluqlo-master.zip to home folder
Open new folder (gluqlo-master) in home and open terminal in new folder.
In terminal: make && sudo make install
5. Open xscreensaver then close. (This generates the .xscreensaver file in your home directory).
6. In home directory, open .xscreensaver file with text editor.
7. add "gluqlo -root \n\" to GL entries in alphabetical order.
8. Open Xscreensaver and activate gluqlo. In settings you can designate 12 or 24 hour clock.
Arch Install:
1.sudo pacman -S xscreensaver gluqlo-git
2.Open xscreensaver then close. (This generates the .xscreensaver file in your home directory).
3.In home directory, open .xscreensaver file with text editor.
4.Add "gluqlo -root \n\" to GL entries in alphabetical order.
5.Open Xscreensaver and activate gluqlo. In settings you can designate 12 or 24 hour clock.
