Steps:
Click on the trash can in the bottom right of the doc.
Then click ‘empty’ in the top right of the page.
Click ‘empty bin’ on the popup that appears.
Note that there is no way of getting back the items that are deleted from the trash when you empty it.
Your macs trash has now been emptied.
