Visiting Sri Lanka for the first time. We planned a quick long weekend getaway from Bangalore to Sri Lanka and it was epic. This was a monsoon road trip along the entire south coast of Sri Lanka. South of Sri Lanka has some of the prettiest beaches in the country. We drove through Hikkaduwa, Galle, Unawatuna, Ahangama, Mirissa, Weligama and Dondra. The beautiful monsoon made the trip even more magical.
In this video, we explore the towns of Hikkaduwa and Galle. We stayed in Hikkaduwa for the first part of the trip. And Galle completely lived up to its reputation of being a bougie city with cute cafés, cobbled streets and alleyways, beautifully blending together colonial architecture with modernity.
How have we not done this before. Sri Lanka completely surprised me and I am definitely going to go back again.
