In this episode, we will explore all the important temples, beaches as well as staying and food options available in this simple yet charming Gokarna village of Karnataka.
These are following famous temples in Gokarna:
a) Sri Mahabaleshwar Temple: Dedicated to Lord Shiva. Inside the temple, there’s another temple named Sri Tamragouri Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati Ji.
b) Sri Mahaganpati temple: It is located close to the exit gate of the Sri Mahabaleshwar Temple.
c) Koti Teerth: On the way from main temple to Om beach, you can also make a brief visit at Koti Teerth. This sacred man-made tank dedicated to Lord Rama, is about 1.5 km from the main city of Gokarna, and 700 meters from the bus station.
d) Pitrsthaneshwar Mandir, few meters away from Sri Mahabaleshwar Temple.
e) Ramtirth Temple located atop a hill adjacent to Gokarna Beach
f) Shree Bhadrakali Temple
Please Note: Most of the temples in Gokarna remains closed from 12:00 pm to 04:00 pm

We also went to Sanikatta which is 4 km from Gokarna city. Sanikatta considered oldest salt-manufacturing village in Nagarbail, Karnataka. From 1720 AD, Sanikatta has continued manufacturing salt for nearly 300 years.
