On our journey from Dharmasthala to Kukke Shri Subrahmanya Temple, we stopped at another Ganesh temple named Sowthadka Shri Mahaganapati Temple located in an open field without any roof in Dakshina Kannada district in the Indian state of Karnataka. Lord Maha Ganapathi is most unique temple of Lord Ganesha without Garbh Griha. As per temple authorities, many sevas offered at the temple, the most popular one is avalakki panchakajjaya seva (mixture of beaten rice, jaggery, til (sesame), coconut, honey and banana) performed on a regular basis.
