In Altoona, the Glass Slipper Project provides prom dresses, jewelry and accessories to students for free, making sure that money is not a barrier to cherished rights of passage. In Carlisle, LifeCycle at New Life Community Church recognizes that without transportation everything else is impossible and provides bicycles to residents who might not have other means to get to work or buy groceries. Through the Earn-a-Bike program, people can purchase bicycles by working service hours and also learn professional development skills by learning to repair bikes. In Clinton County, Horses of Hope offers opportunities for therapeutic riding and non-riding relationship building with horses for people with special needs, along with a veteran's program called Heroes and Horses.
