To import users into Community Builder you need to go through 4 steps:

1. File upload - select your excel/csv file and select "import profile"
2. Setup - setup import process and save settings as a "profile" for further imports.
3. Preview - look through users who are going to be imported into Community Builder and users who going to be skipped due to errors.
4. Import users - sit back and wait until it is complete.

Main features of this "Community Builder user import" extension:

Any data from excel or CSV file can be imported into CB custom fields.
Users can be imported into any group (or into a few groups)
CB Import can send "welcome" emails to created users with your custom message, login and password.

If you need to import users periodically - you don't need to configure import process each time. You just need to save "profile" on step 2 with all your settings and next time import setup will take around 10 seconds.

Passwords can be created automatically.

There are no any requirements for excel/csv file format. Columns in excel/csv can have any names or don't have them at all, columns order can be any.
