Recipes for the Ponzu salads
*All measurements are in US standard format
★Izakaya style cabbage salad
[Ingredients for 2 - 3 people]
¼ Cabbage
3 tbsp Ponzu
2 tbsp Sesame oil
1 tbsp Sugar
1 pinch Salt
1 pinch Black pepper
½ tsp Grated garlic
To taste Sesame seeds
Optional: Red chili pepper
Please marinate the cabbage for at least 30 min.
★Ponzu parmesan salad
[Ingredients for 2 people]
2 cups Watercress / Salad kale / Salad spinach
1 tbsp Olive oil
2 tsp Ponzu (tsp and NOT tbsp)
1.5 pinch Salt
1 oz Parmesan cheese (You can add more if you like cheese!)
To taste Black pepper
*Please dress the salad right before you eat since the salad will get soggy as time passes.
★Ponzu meat salad
[Ingredients for 2 people]
3 Celery ( approx. 9 oz or 270g)
3 Green onion (approx. 1.8 oz or 50g)
1 Handful Pine nuts (or other roasted nuts such as sliced almonds, chopped pistachios etc.)
0.3 lb Ground pork or chicken (I prefer ground pork to ground chicken for this recipe)
1 tbsp Sesame oil
1 pinch Salt
1 pinch Black pepper
½ tsp Grated garlic
[Dressing]
1.5 tbsp Ponzu
1 pinch Sugar
0.5 - 1 tbsp Sesame oil
Optional: Red chili pepper
*Please dress the salad right before you eat since the salad will get soggy as time passes.
