At Polesden Lacey in Surrey, cared for by the National Trust, the team have been improving accessibility to and around the gardens. From bringing in more seating, to creating new accessible pathways up to the house. All this has been achieved with the help of comments, questions and ideas from our visitors. Your feedback can play an essential part in opening up the places we care for to more people.

You’ll join TV presenter, radio broadcaster, garden designer and long-term National Trust member Mark Lane and his dog Dude, as they take a tour around the gardens - and offer more ideas for improvement. Polesden Lacey is one of many places that we care for with a multi-use trail, for more accessible trails visit https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visi... We know we have more to do to create more inclusive places, but we are committed to doing it.

Located in the Surrey Hills just 25 miles from London, Polesden Lacey was the Edwardian country retreat of socialite, Margaret Greville. The 1,600-acre dog-friendly estate is ideal for spending time with family and friends. The gardens also have views out to Ranmore Common and over rolling parkland.
